The heart of B/deshi lives on WhatsApp. Our community is organized into focused groups by region, industry, and interest — so you can engage with the conversations that matter most to you. The interest and industry groups tend to be the most active and are a great way to connect with Bangladeshis around the world. Join whatever interests you.
WhatsApp Communities is a relatively new feature — here's how to find and join the B/deshi groups once you've been added.
1. Open WhatsApp and tap the Communities tab (bottom-left)
2. Tap the B/deshi community
3. You'll see all available groups — tap any to view it
4. Tap Join on the groups you're interested in

Don't see the Communities tab? Make sure your WhatsApp is updated to the latest version from the App Store or Google Play.
To ensure a positive and respectful experience for everyone, please keep these guidelines in mind.
Keep discussions relevant to each group's topic to maintain a focused and engaging environment.
Treat fellow members with respect. Use appropriate language and maintain a positive tone. Avoid personal attacks, offensive language, or any form of harassment.
Share what you're working on or excited about without overwhelming others. Don't forward messages or share links without providing additional context relevant to the group.
Favor thoughtful discussions rather than excessive messaging. As each group may have hundreds of people, sometimes an emoji react is sufficient.
Respect the confidentiality of discussions within the group. Do not share information outside the group without consent.
Please refrain from randomly messaging people with whom you haven't established a connection or don't have common ground.
Please only join the location groups where you are personally active.
If you want to share an investment opportunity, please run it by admins first for approval. It's critical to safeguard our community from potential risks.
Feel free to reach out to admins if you have any questions. We welcome feedback and suggestions on how we can improve our guidelines as well as the community as a whole.
Once you're added to the B/deshi WhatsApp community, you'll see all available groups. Join the ones that match your interests and industry — this is where the real conversations happen.
Drop a quick intro in the groups you join — where you're based, what you do, and what you're interested in. Our members are welcoming and always happy to connect.
Share opportunities, ask questions, help fellow members. The more you put in, the more you get out. The Global Chat and Jobs groups are great starting points.

We're looking for professionals in the Bangladeshi diaspora who are committed to building long-term, mutually beneficial relationships — not just transactional ones. Members come from all fields and career stages, but what they share is a willingness to contribute to the community as much as they benefit from it.
